“EUBORDERREGIONS. European Regions, EU External Borders and the Immediate Neighbours. Analysing Regional Development Options through Policies and Practices of Cross-Border Co-operation"   is a 4-years long FP7 research project, launched in March 2011, with the main objective to identify challenges to economic, social and territorial cohesion as well as regional development potentials in different borderlands at the EU’s external frontiers.

International Studies Association (ISA) announced a call for papers and panel proposals to be presented at the ISA 54th Annual Convention 'Politics of International Diffusion: Regional and Global Dimensions'.

The conference takes place April 3-6, 2013 in San Francisco and will seek to improve our understanding of regional and global diffusion across several dimensions.

New framework agreement for cross-border cooperation between Finland and Russia has been signed

The new framework agreement replaces the Agreement between Finland and Russia on Cooperation in Murmansk Region, the Republic of Karelia, Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region, dating from 1992.

EUBORDERREGIONS project Workshop III, takes place in Budapest, May 9-11.

The workshop will be followed by the EUBORDERREGIONS conference "Exploring Borders, Cross-Border Co-operation and European Cohesion” on May 12.
